Environmental Protection

We are committed to continuing to treat the areas around the quarry with the utmost care. The rehabilitation plan for the proposed quarry extension will result in3.6 ha of new wetland and 29.2 ha of new woodlands.  With the addition of the off-site ecological enhancement plan the application will result in the creation of 33.2 hectares of new woodlands, of which 8.5 ha will be planted prior to the removal of the two small woodland areas in the West Extension
